Overnight Emily Ratajkowski joined a star-studded guest list for the 2022 Möet Chandon Holiday Celebration in New York City (an event that lit up Sydney last week). Photographed walking the streets of Manhattan it seems the model opened a door from the past for her latest look and channeled peak Y2K for an evening of free-flowing bubbles.

As our affinity for vintage collections continue – think circa 1995 to 2005 – it seems that the My Body author is experimenting too. Styled by Jordan Beckham, Ratajkowski wore a 2004 Roberto Cavalli halter dress from Nina Gabbana Vintage, a seller and collector based in NYC. The dress featured a reverse pink ombre hue, cowl neck, ultra-low back and midi hemline, finished with intricate beading and velvet details.

The look was finished with strapy silver stilettos and Anito Ko and Delfina Delettrez jewellery.

It’s not the first time the model has dabbled with vintage fashion in recent weeks. Last month Ratajkowski attended an event for Belvedere Vodka in a vibrant green printed skirt from the Dior Fall 2004 collection purchased from the same collector and earlier, in a red plunging mini dress from the Dior Spring 2003 collection.

Speaking to GRAZIA earlier this year, Ratajkowski admitted that her style is always evolving. “My personal style is always changing… My style is influenced by countless women! Sometimes it comes from a woman I see walking on the street in New York City and other times it comes from an old picture I’ll see online of Julia Roberts or Halle Berry in the 90s.”
