With too many niche TikTok-born aesthetics to keep up with, everything becoming a ‘core’ in its own right, two trends have had a lasting impact: Ballerinacore and Biker Chic. While the two have respectively sparked much hype and controversy, many have tried to merge the two polar styles into a perplexing fusion. Call it ‘the Miu Miu Effect’, this look is not so simple to get right or even understand, but trust Elsa Hosk to make it all make sense.

Posting about her Easter weekend on Instagram, the model debuted an outfit that has us running to mix and match our wardrobe pieces. With her daughter, Tuulikki Joan Daly, sitting on her hip, the 34-year-old masterfully blended a handful of aesthetics, with the result being surprisingly refined and uber-chic.

Wearing a ’90s-style sweatshirt in a dark red hue and classic blue straight-leg jeans, Hosk looked effortlessly cool in her casual fit. But in an intriguing move, she completed the simple look with a vintage leather biker jacket and red patent ballet flats by Chanel.

But when we look back at some of her recent style moments, a pattern emerges, and it’s clear that the former Victoria’s Secret model has long been clued into this budding trend.

In February, she put a spin on the LBD by pairing a delicate silk nap dress that featured lace detailing and straps, with a pair of buckle-clad biker boots by Miu Miu.

Back in November, she wore a look consisting of a satin two-piece in baby blue with black lace trim and an oversized leather coat.

And for the summer, she put a French Girl twist on the look with a dainty lace top, bowler bag, leather mini shorts and a black leather pair of Chanel ballet flats.
