An exceptional and equally limited capsule collection created by Kris Van Assche drops this week in Australia as a prelude to his swansong Autumn 2018 collection for Dior Homme.

The Autumn 2018 Gold Capsule range is so-named for good reason. It features mainstay Dior Homme pieces like suits, shirts, knits, shoes and leather goods. All are emblazoned with an updated version of the signature Dior Homme bee introduced by Van Assche’s predecessor Hedi Slimane, who for the record and in a case of French designer label chess moves, has just replaced Phoebe Philo in the top job at Celine. Virgil Abloh, of course, has replaced Jones at Vuitton.

Low-key luxury: a taste of the Dior Homme Autumn 2018 Gold Capsule

The Belgian designer announced his surprise departure from the French brand after 11 years as creative director of menswear just days before former Louis Vuitton star, Kim ‘Supreme mash-up’ Jones, was revealed his successor. Where he’s headed next is yet to be divulged, but for now, we still have access to his Dior wares, albeit briefly.
