Here at GRAZIA, we’re partial to a designer partnership – especially when the collaborator in question happens to be one of the most stylish celebrities in the game. So you can imagine our delight at the news that not just one, but two famous faces have announced their collaborations with separate designer footwear purveyors.
The first? Rapper and rumoured new boyfriend to Rihanna, ASAP Rocky, who is teaming up with Amina Muaddi for a range of high-end heels for women. Muaddi, who has a loyal legion of fashionable fans including Kylie Jenner, Hailey Bieber and Dua Lipa, has previously designed a capsule collection for his alleged paramour’s label – Fenty x Amina Muaddi – but working with Rocky’s creative agency, AWGE, marks the first celebrity she has engaged for her own brand.
“We’ve been working on this collab for more than a year. We’re so excited to finally share it with the world,” she wrote alongside an announcement of the AWGE x Amina Muaddi collection on Instagram. Rocky echoed Muaddi’s excitement on his own Instagram post, saying “We at AWGE present 2 u a special collab with @aminamuaddi on my first ever women’s shoes inspired by urs truly!” The range was released to great fanfare, with many of the styles already sold out.
A day later, fashion favourite Rosie Huntington-Whiteley announced her impending capsule collection with luxury footwear purveyor Gia Couture. The supermodel has made her affinity for the brand known in recent months, having worn heels from the Italian label’s collaboration with style influencer Pernille Teisbaek. Now Huntington-Whiteley is set to debut her own range for Gia Couture early next year, giving her followers a sneak peek of the upcoming styles on her Instagram.
“It’s no secret that I love a good shoe and that I love collaborating with talented women! So I’m very excited to share my first collection GIA/RHW made together with @giacouturefirenze,” she wrote before adding, “Stay tuned for the launch in Spring 2021.”
