For Rowe’s fashion adherents amongst us—those who treat a certain “week of French girl fashion” video akin to a style bible–the initiated will be aware of the multi-hyphenated star’s penchant for vintage silhouettes, toying with 70s archetypes and infusing eclectic Paris-meets-New-York flair into everyday wardrobe basics.
Her style doctrine is one of textured glamour, with lace accents, unexpected texture or intelligent styling adding unexpected elements to classic ensembles. This is also the mode for her capsule collection with the circular and ethically conscious Los Angeles-based brand, with fundamentals for a Parisienne soirée explored through the brand’s effortless undone and West Coast lens.
For boozy evenings in Le Marais, look no further than the boat neckline LBD made flirty with a high slit and velvet ribbon bow. If walking around Paris’ open-air markets under the Eiffel Tower is more your pace, opt for a 90s-style, bias-cut silk slip dress accented with raw hem finishes.
And as any French girl knows, Parisienne style is rooted in pieces that can take you from day-to-night, so Rowe has graciously co-designed a series of Mary Jane pumps and kitten heels to throw on with the chintzy mini skirts and tailored denim.
The panoply is a cocktail of Brigitte Bardot and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, with flirty shirting and street-style elements considered under Rowe’s French girl gaze.
It’s safe to say Ref x Rowe is the quickest way to becoming a Parisian ‘It’ girl. Speaking of the collaboration, Rowe shared on Instagram that the collection is inspired by “vintage pieces directly from my wardrobe, and most of the party dresses are pieces I’ve fantasised about dancing in”.
