UPDATE 02/02/2021 EST: Just days after Elizabeth Chambers finally broke her silence on those cannibalism claims against Armie Hammer, the actress has taken to Instagram to describe her situation at length.
She posted, “For weeks, I’ve been trying to process everything that has transpired. I am shocked, heartbroken, and devastated. Heartbreak aside, I am listening, and will continue to listen and educate myself on these delicate matters. I didn’t realize how much I didn’t know. I support any victim of assault or abuse and urge anyone who has experienced this pain to seek the help she or he needs to heal. At this time, I will not be commenting further on this matter. My sole focus and attention will continue to be on our children, on my work and on healing during this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you for all of the love and support, and thank you in advance for your continued kindness, respect, and consideration for our children and me as we find ways to move forward. 🤍 EC.”
We hope the 38-year-old finds some peace in these very strange times.
It’s been the question on everyone’s minds – did Armie Hammer‘s former wife Elizabeth Chambers know about his sordid fantasies? Since allegations first surfaced against the actor several weeks ago, speculation has been rife as to what his soon-to-be ex thought about the controversy, which saw Hammer accused of abuse and sending disturbing messages to women on social media.
Some of the most infamous messages circulating as screenshots via social media – which are yet to be verified, but appear to have come from Hammer’s personal Instagram account – depict the 34-year-old star identifying himself as “100% a cannibal” and telling another anonymous woman, “I need to drink your blood.”
Now Chambers, who is said to be in the Cayman Islands with the two children she shares with Hammer, has broken her silence on the scandal. While the actress kept quiet as the news broke, she finally shared her thoughts on the matter via an Instagram comment left on a photo uploaded by entertainment website Just Jared.
The caption on the photo shared the announcement that Hammer’s former co-star Timothee Chalamet and director Luca Guadagnino, who he worked with on Call Me By Your Name, were teaming up to film a movie that centres on a cannibal love story. Chambers reacted for the first time by commenting on the post, “No. Words.”
While the 38-year-old didn’t respond further to followers commenting on her reply, recent reports have said she is “sickened” by the accusations against Hammer. Hammer maintains that all allegations against him are false. The pair officially separated in July last year, but the divorce is yet to be finalised.
