Angelina Jolie is seemingly thriving following her divorce with Brad Pitt in 2016. Along with nearly every other celebrity – think Jennifer Lopez and Emily Ratajkowski – the actress and her children travelled to France and Italy for a dreamy European summer. During her time along the Mediterranean coast this week, the 46-year-old spent time with artists JR and Prune Nourry.
Jolie is notoriously private when it comes to her personal life (unless it comes to bringing her huge cohort of six children to the red carpet) and stays off social media. Luckily, her close friends have documented the excursion. Of course they captured the actress on Instagram stories dancing on some far flung rooftop in Italy looking stylish as ever in a grey linen caftan.
Nourry also shared a happy snap of with Jolie in a black maxi dress and Japanese artist Ai Weiwei.
The Maleficent star was spotted on a work trip in Paris in late July looking effortlessly chic as always (explore all the outfits, here).
Jolie and Pitt share custody of five out of six of their children, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Vivienne and Knox who have been accompanying the actress on her overseas trips. The eldest son, Maddox is now 18-years-of-age.
Jolie more than deserves some down time after a difficult five years since the divorce which seems to creating a never-ending court battle. In a rare interview, the actress admitted that she felt she was “lacking in all the skills to be a traditional stay-at-home mum.”
“The past few years have been pretty hard,” she added. “I’ve been focusing on healing our family. It’s slowly coming back, like the ice melting and the blood returning to my body.”
Earlier this year she also accused her ex-husband of domestic violence in a court filing.
Less heartache, more dancing on rooftops from now on.
