Stars On Show: The Best Dressed On The Red Carpet At The 2023 Academy Museum Gala
They say all that glitters is gold, and nowhere is that saying truer than in Hollywood

The stars aren’t lining the footpath of Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles this evening. Instead, they’re a little further south on Wilshire, attending the third annual Academy Museum Gala.
The charity fundraiser, hosted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, aims to raise funds for the curation of exhibitions and public programmes for the permanent space. However, given its colloquial appellation—‘The Met Gala of the West’—the gala has quickly become one of the most anticipated dates of the season. Especially for sartorialist adherents.
Naturally, this meant celebrity stylists and their high-profile clients were working overtime to ensure their glamorous ensembles rivalled the drama and entertainment of their respective bodies of work. They say all that glitters is gold, and never is that saying more true than in Hollywood.
Taking cues from the Golden Age of cinema were the likes of burgeoning actresses Kaia Gerber, Phoebe Tonkin and Nicola Peltz Beckham. Delicate lace also had its moments under the spotlight thanks to Dua Lipa and Lupita Nyong’o, who both opted for Chanel.
