Zendaya

Trust Law Roach to save sharing Zendaya’s unseen Paris Fashion Week ensembles till after she’s left the country.

While the multi-hyphenated style savant is currently moseying around London with her boyfriend and fellow Spiderman star, Tom Holland, Roach is reminding us that there are little pieces of Zendaya scattered around the city.

If her unzipped custom Louis Vuitton dress wasn’t enough to prove the sartorial mark she’s stamped on Paris, then allow us to direct you to the Euphoria actor’s most recent forway; an off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood corset suit.

Underpinned by swashbuckling energy—though, we needn’t remind you that #piratecore was Westwood’s many ‘isms’ before it became a Depop style or niche TikTok micro aesthetic—the two-piece suit features a dramatic cinched-in waist, billowing peasant sleeves and a sculptural Bertha-esque neckline similar to that popular in the Victorian era.

Completed with a soft pink and brown undulating stripe, Zendaya has once again reminded us of the power Westwood possesses. Combine the late designer’s penchant for heritage silhouettes, liberating shapes and fabric threaded with a little taste for fashion history and you’ll have the recipe for a delicious look best served warm. Bon appétit!

Though, it wouldn’t be a link-up between Zendaya and Law Roach if that hadn’t served an entire buffet of enviable luxury ensembles. Within the span of four days, the style duo delivered a suite of vintage and new-season looks which, in Roach’s words, cemented their status as the “King and Queen of archival”.

Notable mentions must be awarded to Zendaya’s Louis Vuitton afterparty look, taken from the French maison’s Resort 2015 collection (also the second for creative director Nicolas Ghesquière at the helm of the house), and a gilded, cropped, 70s style blouse and Theda GM handbag in a multicolour canvas—the latter being both from 2004 and modelled by Naomi Campbell.

While fashion is operating in an era where celebrities as models reign supreme, the frenzy around Zendaya is not only understandable but deserving. When she’s wearing your brand, you’ll know the look will never falter.
