It’s only been three weeks since we had the second installment of Netflix’s hit stalker-thriller series ,You, but already another season has been confirmed.

Variety reports that the show, which stars Gossip Girl‘s Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti, will be back with 10 more episodes dropping in 2021 after a successful run, which had viewers oddly obsessing over the main character, Joe, despite him being a psychopath-murderer-stalker.

Both Badgley and Pedetti, who play Joe Goldberg and Love Quinn, respectively, are confirmed to return for the new season with Variety confirming that the series co-creators, Sera Gamble and Greg Berlanti, will also remain as executive producers and Gamble will also be returning as series show runner.

As for what the season will entail, viewers are more in the dark than ever. The first season of You was based on Caroline Kepnes’ novel of the same name, while the second was from her sequel, Hidden Bodies. Though Kepnes didn’t rule out the possibility of writing a third book, saying on Goodreads three years ago that fans will “get more Joe eventually,” as of 2020, it hasn’t been published.

As for what Badgley thinks his character will be focused on in the next chapter, the actor previously gave a few hints to Entertainment Tonight saying, “What does Joe need? Joe needs, ugh, Joe needs justice, but what does that mean? Does that mean prison? Does that mean death? I don’t know.”

Meanwhile, You creator Sera Gamble told the Hollywood Reporter: “I can say things won’t go well for Joe [in season 3].”

As for when the season will drop, Netflix hasn’t confirmed further than 2021, but it’s looking like it’ll be closer to the beginning of the year.

Until then we’ll be watching Badgley be almost just as creepy as Dan Humphrey on Gossip Girl.
