Something looked a little different on the Destiny’s Child Twitter page on Wednesday when the group’s cover photo was suddenly changed. Some fans are speculating that it might be a hint at a reunion of the iconic 1990’s girl-group, comprised of Beyoncé Knowles Carter, 39, Kelly Rowland, 40, and Michelle Williams, 42. While nothing has been confirmed, something is definitely in the works.

The cover photo was changed to a simple but modern design of the girl group’s name in gold with a black background, sparking discussion that this was some kind of re-brand for the band.

The girls were recently heard together semi-recently, when Williams shared an audio clip to her Twitter in May. Williams could be heard talking alongside Beyoncé and Rowland. The conversation in the audio clip consisted of the release of Williams’ book on her experiences with depression, but also a hint from Beyoncé, who said “‘I’m cooking some music. That’s Chef Boyardee and Chef Boy-Kelly,” not really sure what the second half of that sentence means. But the first part was enough to get my attention, the question is, is it her music or music for a potential Destiny’s Child revival?

Beyoncé did recently state in an interview that she spent a “year and half” in the studio and “new music is coming,” as her last solo album was Lemonade in 2016. The Destiny’s Child girls last performed together in 2018 at Coachella, where they performed three of their most nostalgic hits, Lose My Breath, Say My Name and Soldier.

If these rumors and speculations turn out to be true, I think we may just have entered a time portal. With the revival of early aughts fashion as well as the summer of Bennifer and now a potential Destiny’s Child reunion, there’s no telling what else might come back. Let’s hope low-rise jeans alongside a few political characters stay back there.
