Usually, when people look forward to the Olympics, it’s usually about the sportsmanship and displays of athleticism, but we like to look for all the fashion and style happenings that really leave an impression on those who watch. Set to begin on February 4 2022 with an opening ceremony in Beijing, we already have a few hints as to what the uniforms and villagewear may look like.
As of today, we know that Volcom, the official outfitter of the U.S. Snowboard Team, has released a look into what the uniforms for the Snowboard Team will look like.
“Volcom has a deep-rooted history in supporting professional athletes as well as sports enthusiasts,” Wesley Chu, SVP – Head of Asia Pacific, Spyder and Volcom at Authentic Brands Group said. “It is within Volcom’s DNA to create and provide innovative products to the world’s top athletes and we are proud to cement that initiative by partnering with the U.S. Snowboard Team.”
The collection includes the Volcom Owl 3 Layer Gore Jacket, which then paired with the Volcom Utility Puff provides the perfect layering for the harshest conditions the Snowboard Team must endure in their athletic trials as they traverse down snowy trails.
In addition to the Owl 3 Layer Gore Jacket, there is also the TDS INF Gore-Tex Jacket, which is part of the Snowboard Team uniform kit 2. This particular kit is designed to keep competitors warm during the below-freezing conditions that their environment has to offer.
All of the uniform pieces from Volcom include stars and stripes motifs colored with the red, white and blue that are seen in the American flag.
