Victoria Beckham just broke the internet again, and this time it was not with a handbag or a deadpan one-liner. In her VB Eyewear Fall/Winter 2026 campaign, she appears in sculptural frames and a new, wavy mid-length cut that beauty editors have already christened the “waterfall bob.” The sunglasses are good. The hair is better.

If the sharp 00s “Pob” was peak office-core, this is VB on a long weekend. Darker brunette, soft layers, loose waves that slip off the shoulders rather than sit like a helmet. It is glossy, it is grown up, and it looks like it takes about eight minutes before you run for the subway. That, incidentally, is the whole point.

What Exactly Is A “Waterfall Bob”?

Think of the waterfall bob as the relaxed, slightly smug cousin of the classic bob. The length sits somewhere between chin and shoulders, with the front often a touch longer. Instead of one blunt, solid line, the cut relies on soft internal layers so the waves fall in fluid “cascades” rather than stiff curls.

Stylists and titles like Who What Wear use “waterfall waves” to describe those smooth, shiny, S-shaped bends that start mid-length and taper off at the ends. On Victoria, that translates to hair that looks polished but never shellacked. Compared with a traditional blunt bob, it has more swing; compared with a long bob, it is lighter and airier; compared with a bedhead bob, it is less “I slept in eyeliner,” more “I own a garment steamer.”

Why Victoria Beckham’s Version Feels So Fall 2026

Victoria and a bob are hardly strangers. Her inverted “Pob” helped define the 00s, then in recent seasons she moved into lob and “bedhead bob” territory that Vogue, NewBeauty and Cosmopolitan all anointed as key fall inspiration. Bobs have been quietly stacking up on runways since Spring/Summer 2026; by SS26, the message was clear – sharp hair was back.

The waterfall bob is the 2026 evolution. It keeps the grown-up chic of a bob, subtracts the constant salon upkeep, and adds the movement Marie Claire keeps talking about in its fall haircut reports. Victoria’s darker brunette color helps, too; it makes the texture look richer and the whole thing feel a little moodier, in that perfect-first-date-in-October way.

For her Paris Fall/Winter 2026 show, session stylist Anthony Turner, working with Schwarzkopf, described the hair mood as effortless, feminine and slightly undone. The VB Eyewear images carry that same energy. The bob skims the collarbone, the waves are brushed out, and there is zero crunchy curl definition in sight.

It is hair that looks incredible peeking out from a wool coat or tucked behind an ear under oversized frames. Crucially, it also looks like it will survive humidity, office heating and one too many martinis because the whole cut is designed for movement, not precision.
