If you’ve been missing red-carpet glamour, look no further than the Cannes Film Festival. The 74th annual event has brought out some of the industry’s biggest stars in equally star-studded looks. From Bella Hadid stealing the festival’s opening night in vintage Jean Paul Gautier to Jodie Turner-Smith in Gucci, this year is undoubtedly one to watch after a year hiatus.

Joining the flock of stylish A-listers is actress Tilda Swinton in all her quirky glory. The 60-year-old “Annette” star attended an intimate dinner hosted by Chanel in Bijou Beach on July 7. She opted for a satin navy dress with pleated sheer sleeves and a ruffled neckline (Chanel, of course.) Adding the Tilda Swinton touch she paired the look with a matching navy headband that lapped her signature bleached blonde hair and covered one of her eyes.

On July 8, to continue her reign, Swinton donned a floral Chanel couture look to the premiere of “The Souvenir II.” Swinton and her daughter, Honor Swinton Byre (who starred alongside her in the film) walked the carpet together which had a matching floral backdrop. Swinton Byre opted for a high-low black dress with a lace train. The actress kept accessories minimal but pair the look with a mini Chanel thigh bag which lined up perfectly with her dress’ high slit.

Despite pulling groundbreaking and stunning looks (hello, have you seen her 2020 Venice Film Festival Chanel couture look with custom Venetian mask?) the Chanel muse told WWD that she doesn’t see herself as a fashion icon. “Fashion is about finding a way of going into a very brightly lit space as a shy person and feeling like you’re not alone,” she said of when she walks the red carpet. “In that moment, I’m fortunate enough to have my friends with me in a way, like Virginie or Karl Lagerfeld before.”
