Anybody have an extra $70 million they’re not doing anything with? It looks like The Weeknd does, as he dropped the same amount on a titanic Los Angeles mansion, including a pool and what appears to be a tennis court overlooking the Bel-Air Country Club.

Sold by Dutch media mogul Reinout Oerlemans and his wife Danielle, the sale almost didn’t happen as the couple wanted to specifically wait until real-estate agents Rayni and Branden Williams of Beverly Hills Estates got involved with the sale. The sale took place off market, and the Oerlemans reportedly corresponded with The Weeknd directly through Beverly Hills Estates.

Sitting on 1.6 acres, the 33,000 square foot mansion includes nine bedrooms, a sports court, indoor/outdoor pool, sauna-spa duo and hammam, which is a steam bath associated with the Islamic world. Additionally, the mansion has an on-site movie theatre, gym and music studio, perfect for a musician of The Weeknd’s caliber.

The Beverly Hills mansion has a contemporary sense to it without being sterile. Wood accented appliances and marble countertops decorate the kitchen. According to a report, the house is newly renovated, featuring french doors, grandeur staircases and is within a series of double gates for the sake of privacy.

Atop a hill, the mansion not only overlooks the Bel-Air Country Club, but has a stunning view of the Los Angeles skyline, and at night, glows from urban illumination that seems like something out of a movie. It is rather secluded, with virtually no close neighbors in sight, which fits the Weeknd’s seemingly quiet and reclusive nature. Maybe he is working on new music?
