As part of the savings event, unveiled on Thursday, May 27, the brand is offering some of its most sought-after pieces, including everything from bustiers and waist trainers to comfy robes and slippers for a whopping half off retail price.
FYI, this isn’t your average Memorial Day sale. You see, the SKIMS site requires each shopper to enter their email address to shop the wide range of discount products (which, yes includes its newly launched jacquard collection). However, today, many fans were met with never ending loading screens and site crashes due to a high demand of website visitors. The few lucky enough to make it past these walls and get in the sale are, naturally, swiping everything from the virtual shelves.
“I know many of you are having issues with the @skims site right now,” Kardashian wrote on her Instagram Story in response to the crashes. “We are experiencing our highest traffic day in history, even more traffic than Black Friday but we are working quickly to have it resolved ASAP. Thank you so much for your patience!”
Since its launch, the brand recognized for its neutral shapewear has been loved for championing body inclusivity by offering a wide array of shades, sizes, and silhouettes to fit most body types seamlessly. Kardashian typically models the collections herself along with her celeb-filled crew, including sisters Khloé and Kourtney and friends like Paris Hilton and Kacey Musgraves. In an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the star once mentioned, “I want the brand to always stay true to me and what I believe in.”
