Simone Biles just “woke up a fiancée” after a romantic Valentine’s Day proposal from her NFL player beau.
The Olympic gymnast announced her engagement to Houston Texans football player Jonathan Owens on Instagram, with plenty of romantic photos of the pair — and a close-up video of her blinding engagement ring.
“The easiest yes. I can’t wait to spend forever & ever with you, you’re everything I dreamed of and more! let’s get married FIANCÉ 💍🥺🥲🤎,” the gold-medal-winning athlete captioned the post.
In addition to sharing snaps of the footballer on one knee, Biles also posted a video of her enormous oval-cut diamond ring with pavé diamond band, designed by ZoFrost & Co.’s jeweler, who also shared the same video on his social media account.
Owens thanked the designer on Instagram writing, “@zofrost you went crazy on this one bro really made the night special 🙌🏽.”
Biles marked the momentous occasion in a date-night-ready ruched LBD with lacing up the side and black stilettos.
The couple first went public with their romance in August 2020 and have been supporting one another on social media ever since. Owens praised Biles’ “strength and courage” at the 2020 Olympics and Biles has sported his jersey number cheering from the sidelines on game days.
Like any excited bride-to-be, Biles posted a series of selfies of herself sharing the big news with friends on her Instagram Story, writing, “Woke up a fiancée!”
