They say you should never wear white to a wedding but that rule need not apply when the wedding in question is the union of one of the world’s top fashion designers, who’s dressed you for the occasion in the latest collection from his label.
Over the weekend, Dua Lipa attended the wedding of Jacquemus founder Simon Porte Jacquemus and his longtime partner Marco Maestri in Jacquemus’ home in the South of France.
Photographed walking into the town hall of Charleval, in the Bouches-du-Rhône, Lipa looked radiant in a see-through white dress that was debuted as part of the house’s recent Fall 2022 collection, Le Papier — an almost exclusively bridal-inspired range that served as a precursor for Jacquemus’ wedding, where guests similarly wore white in troves.
Lipa’s look included a halter bandeau top, sheer cap sleeves, a thigh-high slit and a low flared skirt, as well as sparse decorations of drooping flowers and a low back.
Lipa wore matching white underwear under the sheer mesh bodice, added simple white heels and wore mismatched statement earrings, one shaped as a star and the other a large hoop. She also carried a black Jacquemus bag, which matched her long dark hair, worn loose and straight with a middle part.
Lipa, who was accompanied by her best friend Sarah Lysander (also dressed in a chic white Jacquemus ensemble), joined the likes of models Mica Argañaraz and Tina Kunakey, as well as designers Jeanne Damas and Amina Muaddi to watch the nuptials, for which the designer groom wore a black suit and was walked down the aisle by his grandma.
