If Sienna Miller’s boho-chic style is a barometer, it’s clear that any aesthetic the 41-year-old adopts turns to gold. What better fit for her sartorial Midas touch than Schiaparelli’s surreal and gilded universe, with the actress looking to Daniel Rosebery’s designs for her latest fashion era: modern maternity.

Since Rihanna paved the way for unconventional, bump-barring ensembles, any expecting A-lister has quickly quelled their appetite for drap, stretchy fabrics and assumed this sensual silhouette as the look du jour.

So, for her first public appearance since announcing her pregnancy with her boyfriend Oli Green, Miller embraced the tried-and-tested ‘exposed bump’ attire in a Haute Couture set debuted in the luxuriate’s Fall/Winter 2023 collection.

Somewhat rivalling that of an ultra-whipped meringue (with extra soft peaks), Miller reminded us all of her domineering prowess on the red carpet.

Though billowing and flitting silhouettes are certainly within her wheelhouse, and an aesthetic Miller embraced during her first pregnancy with her now 11-year-old daughter Marlowe, the star has quelled her signature free-spirited style for something more sculptural.

While the silhouette bears remnants of a sculptural spin on peasant dressing—and is arguably aptly on trend with bloomers becoming a coveted wardrobe essential—the set is seemingly more experimental than Miller’s typical looks.

Miller’s top subverted the traditional tuxedo shirt, with softly draped ivory fabric that gathered into an accordion finish around the convex bustier. An exaggerated collar and upturn sleeve further aided this modern Victorian fantasy.

The skirt was equally, if not more, dramatic with miles of crinkled fabric sculpting a bustle-like finish around Miller’s bottom half. Though the proportions of the set may have seemed overwhelming, Miller’s baby bump popped out from above the voluminous skirt to provide symmetry to the look.

Appearing on the red carpet as a walking dessert is surely enough to feed us, but Miller’s latest look is serving high-glamour on a silver platter. Since Miller is embracing Marie Antionette’s famous apocryphal quote, let us all eat cake!

Only last week, Miller discussed her ‘Sienaissance’, that is a Sienna Miller style renaissance, in an exclusive interview with GRAZIA UK. Speaking to our sister publication, Miller explained that she once rejected the title ‘style icon’, despite her fashion being one of the most copied through the 2000s to now.

“I resented it for a while because I thought it defined me,” the soon-to-be mother of two explained. “When I was younger it was quite overwhelming for me, because my clothes were imitated and yet I didn’t know who I was.”

Sadly, her style evolution has also come out of necessity as Miller explained she no longer possesses some of her most enviable boho-chic pieces. “Being a bohemian – an actual one, not just a pretend one – you just lose things,” she told the publication.

“I probably drunkenly lent it to people randomly at my house at two in the morning. Sometimes, I get sentimental about the fact that I can’t find a lot of those clothes I used to love so much, but then I think “it’s just stuff ” and can philosophize my way out of it.’”

A doctrine Miranda Priestly certainly wouldn’t be fond of…
