May 21, 2021: After the last year, it’s easy to see why nail art and nail polishes are mega-popular now—getting an opportunity to wear or do anything that feels like pampering comes with a warm, warm welcome. Lil Yachty is the most recent celeb to enter the nail world, with today’s official launch of his new line, CRETE.
The debut collection, called NEGATIVES 001, launched today at 11 AM EST on the brand’s website. NEGATIVES 001 comes in three monochromatic shades, two topcoats, and edgy, graphic nail stickers. The most buzz-worthy part of the CRETE launch is the polish tubes that feature a cutting-edge pen style for easy use or for those who aren’t great at painting their nails. When purchased as a set, the line also includes a limited edition “Docking Station” made of concrete (get it?) to show off and store your new polishes, as well as a utility grooming tool for the meticulous and detailed.
A press release shared with GRAZIA USA explains the CRETE brand ethos: The intention is to break through the concept of nail polish being a gendered item and make it for everyone. “Directed at men but inclusive of all gender identities, the collection encapsulates a new language of individuality and creativity through its exclusively designed products, inspired by the brand’s ‘For You, Not Them’ vision.”
