Selena Gomez is going through a major style transformation, including by switching from dark locks to a new platinum-blonde hairstyle, and she’s already begun stepping out and showing it off.
On April 25, Gomez went to dinner at Nobu in Malibu wearing a chic black turtleneck, mini skirt, and suede over-the-knee boots. She topped off the look with an on-trend leather coat.
The style evolution comes on the heels of the 28-year-old star getting some new ink from celebrity tattoo artist Keith Scott “Bang Bang” McCurdy in New York City.
The “Lose You to Love Me” songstress showed off the latest tattoo, a thin cross on her collarbone before, in an Instagram video posted to Bang Bang’s social media.
Gomez reportedly now has around 15 tattoos, including the roman numerals LXXVI, the word “Rare” (a reference to her latest album) and Arabic script for the phrase “love yourself first.”
The budding makeup mogul, who last rocked blonde hair in 2017, also recently debuted her redone ‘do, which her stylists call “Rare Blonde,” in an Instagram photo.
“New look,” she wrote in the caption, noting she now needs to pick up lip and blush shades from her Rare Beauty makeup collection.
“We’ve been doing Selena’s color for over a decade now,” Riawna Capri and Nikki Lee of West Hollywood’s Nine Zero One Salon said in a statement provided to GRAZIA USA. “She typically keeps it pretty natural, but this time she went for a big change. This blonde is unique to her as we had to make sure there was an equal balance of cool and warm for her skin tone. It’s an edgier look and perfect for summer.”
