August 18: Pregnancy rumors first started surrounding the 36-year-old back in June, after she skipped out on attending several events for her upcoming film, Black Widow. Though the movie is a huge Marvel/Disney release, which Johansson is both the star of, as well as an executive producer on, she hasn’t been doing the usual promotional rounds you’d expect.

Instead of attending IRL events alongside her co-star Florence Pugh, Johansson has been conducting interviews via Zoom, appearing virtually on the Tonight Show recently to speak with Jimmy Fallon, shot, as Page Six notes, “conspicuously only from the shoulders up.”

Johansson was also notably absent from a Black Widow screening in the Hamptons on Friday, even though she and Jost own a home in the area.

“Scarlett usually spends a lot of the summer out in Amagansett and Montauk, and you’d often see her walking her dogs on the beach or getting coffee,” a source said. “But this summer it seems like she is deliberately trying to keep a low profile.”

If Johansson is indeed pregnant, the new arrival will be her second child—she shares a now six-year-old daughter, Rose, with her ex-husband Romain Dauriac—and Jost’s first.

Johansson and Jost, a comedian on Saturday Night Live, married in October 2020 after three years of dating. Just like a romantic comedy waiting to happen, the pair met on the set of SNL in 2006 but weren’t romantically linked until May 2017, when they were spotted kissing a few months after Johansson filed for divorce from Dauriac.

The couple officially made their relationship public in December 2017 before announcing their engagement in May 2019. Adorably, Johansson called Jost “the love of my life” while appearing on SNL in December 2019.

Jost returned the favor in his 2020 memoir, saying of Johansson, “I’ve met someone I love. And who I feel more comfortable with than I ever have before.”
