Rihanna and partner A$AP Rocky, who already share two children together—sons Riot (21 months) and RZA (2 years)—are now preparing to become a family of five. A close source has revealed to People that the pair are “thrilled to be growing their family” and that these closely timed pregnancies are all according to plan.
“Rihanna has always wanted a big family, so she couldn’t be more excited,” said the insider. “They wanted to have their children close together in age, so that they could grow up together and share a close bond. They feel so blessed and are so grateful for this next chapter in their lives.”
On the Met Gala red carpet, Rihanna, dressed in custom Marc Jacobs, spoke to Entertainment Tonight about how she was feeling.
“I’m shockingly feeling okay and not too overwhelmed at the moment,” she said. “I mean, at first it was kind of like ‘Ahhh’.”
Following the busy first half of the year that the couple has had with Rocky’s trial and subsequent acquittal, as well as this announcement, they are now looking to focus on their family and to settle into the pregnancy.
