Reese Witherspoon has thrown caution to the wind at this year’s Golden Globes, braving the “biggest party of the year” in a pristine white gown. Wearing fashion house Roland Mouret, the Big Little Lies star is going up against red wine, spray tans and all other potential dangers opting for a one-shoulder, floor length dress from the French design house alongside Tiffany diamonds and Jimmy Choo heels.
To finish off the brilliant white look, Witherspoon wore her creamy blonde bob with a deep side-part and natural, glowy makeup accentuated with a defined eye.
The actress and producer is at the awards to celebrate two of her incredible projects over the past year: Big Little Lies and The Morning Show. Her production company, Hello Sunshine, has made waves in television as of late, proving her hypothesis that creative work made by women, and starring women, is absolutely commercially viable (not to mention hilarious, thought-provoking and hugely successful).
The actress has had a stellar year in television and took to Instagram to express her gratitude at the nominations. Whether she takes home a shiny statue or not, there’s no doubt she’s moved, and continues to move, mountains for women in the industry.
