It’s the ultimate plot twist for Rebel Wilson fans — while everyone was speculating that the Australian actress had secretly gotten engaged to girlfriend Ramona Agruma, the star was quietly prepping to announce the birth of her baby.
Wilson made the announcement via Instagram with a beautiful picture of her daughter, named Royce Lillian.
“I can’t even describe the love I have for her, she’s a beautiful miracle!” the actor gushed, thanking everyone involved (“you know who you are!) and explaining that the surrogacy had been years in the making.
She also thanked her surrogate, who she says “carried her and birthed her with such grace and care.”
It’s the best news after a tumultuous year for the Pitch Perfect star. Her relationship with Agruma was announced via a column in the Sydney Morning Herald, with Wilson then slamming the news outlet for giving her a deadline of two days to respond to the piece. At the time, Wilson had not spoken about her relationship with Agruma.
She spoke to The Australian after the incident, saying “There are levels to telling people. You tell your close family and your friends and not everybody. Across our two families, not everybody is as accepting as what you’d hope for, and we were trying to be respectful to those people and tell them in our own way.”
Wilson and Agruma’s relationship has gone from strength to strength, however — the couple mastered two Halloween costumes last weekend, attending events as The Shining twins and as Barbie dolls. They are, however, not engaged — due rampant rumors circulating over the weekend, Wilson ended up taking to Instagram to thank fans for being excited about their love story, but also stressing “We are NOT engaged” via Instagram Story.
