This weekend, musician, producer, entrepreneur, and overall fashion icon Pharrell Williams attended the creative director Nigo’s first Kenzo Fall/Winter 2022 runway presentation amidst Paris Fashion Week. Sporting a pair of blinged out sunnies, Pharrell confirmed the diamond clad custom 18k gold stunners marked his first design for LVMH-owned luxury jeweler Tiffany & Co.

With the executive vice president of Tiffany’s product communications Alexandre Arnault, teasing the project on Instagram, Arnault writes, “Pharrell and Tiffany & Co. are engaged…”

Having created jewelry for venerable fashion houses such as Louis Vuitton back in 2008, this is not Williams’ first rodeo in luxury jewelry design. Known for copying Chanel costume necklaces in real gemstones, the late, great Karl Lagerfeld dubbed the fashion renegade a Chanel ambassador after seeing his unique interpretations of the designs.

Without giving too much away, the musician confirmed his debut design for Tiffany’s and hinted at much more to come. Joining together with a unified vision, Tiffany’s and Williams are set to align their mutual creative perspectives through an equal, yet juxtaposed point of view. Following the brand’s unexpected collaboration with the cult-favorite skateboarding lifestyle label Supreme, Williams seems an excellent choice to modernize the classic jeweler’s image.
