Another one, thank you. Pete Davidson’s BDE clearly has no bounds—nor interest in slowing down—with the comedian-turned-actor confirming his relationship with new girlfriend, Outer Banks star Madelyn Cline.
In the late hours of Saturday evening, Davidson and Cline stepped out together in New York for the first time since reports of their rumoured relationship ran rampant over front pages and internet headlines.
Sources have claimed the pair have been connected since late September, but the duo have kept a relatively low-key profile, with their dates mainly involving brunches at The Beverly Hills Hotel and jaunts to Las Vegas for the comedian’s stand-up shows.
Davidson was previously linked to Bodies, Bodies, Bodies co-star Chase Sui Wonders, while Cline has been single since ending her long-term relationship with her on-screen “Pogue” boyfriend, Chase Stokes.
That was until the pair chose to overtly confirm the nature of their relationship by attending the Saturday Night Live after-party together following Davidson’s hosting debut.
Taking to the Meatpacking District eatery Catch—which if you’ve been watching the Real Housewives of New York City reboot will know is a polarising restaurant to some members of Manhattan’s upper echelon—Davidson and Cline both looked to their interpretations of late-night dressing for the date-night ensembles.
Though it’s clear the pair haven’t found their sartorial footing when it comes to “matching each other’s energy”, Cline’s monochromatic look proves why she possesses the trappings of a soon-to-be fashion ‘It’ girl.
For the occasion, the star wore a black ribbed turtleneck bodysuit, wide-legged slouchy black trousers and black Adidas sambas, accenting her look with layers of gold necklaces, a few statement rings scattered across her digits and a black patent shoulder bag.
But it was in the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it way she incorporated TikTok’s viral “touch of red” trend that highlighted her awareness of how visible this moment would be.
If you look closely, Cline has covertly lacquered her fingernails in a shiny red coat of tomato red, signalling that this beloved styling hack can extend far beyond your wardrobe.
Davidson, on the other hand, wore a tri-colour tracksuit, beige Ugg boots and a baseball cap.
If someone in your friendship group had already claimed going as a dressed-up Hailey and despondent Justin Bieber for their Halloween couples costume, at least Pete Davidson and Madelyn Cline have given us a last-minute costume.
How you’re going to get your hands on that tracksuit, however, is another story.
