Pip Edwards and Claire Tregoning, co-founders of P.E Nation, are no ladies of leisure. They are, however, Australia’s first ladies of athleisure; building an empire of active, design-led streetwear which now dresses discerning modern women from Bondi to Budapest.

In just four short years, the brand has grown exponentially, their signature color-blocking and bold iconography becoming a staple in women’s workout wardrobes the world over. And now they can add another accolade to their CV: the first ever Australian brand to collaborate with Swedish fashion powerhouse, H&M.

Bringing together styles of athleisure with more sustainable materials, the P.E Nation x H&M collection will feature clothes, swimwear, undergarments and accessories, designed in collaboration with the H&M in-house team. From figure-flattering leggings and on-trend bicycle shorts, to retro sport socks and bum bags, the collaboration sees P.E Nation’s signature nostalgic streetwear fashioned into an all-encompassing ready-to-wear collection for workouts and day wear.

Effortlessly blending fashion and performance, it features iconic P.E Nation silhouettes reimagined in more sustainable fabrics, such as organic cotton and recycled polyester. There’s tie-dye, strapping, saturated color – even a pleated midi skirt stamped with their famous branding.

“With the H&M collaboration, we want women all over the world to live a more confident, vibrant, fashionable life while juggling her fast-paced urban existence,” Edwards and Tregoning said. “The collection can be worn all day, every day, whilebeing flexible, functional and style-led. All the pieces work so well together – it’s very easy to mix and match.”

It’s a sentiment echoed by Maria Östblom, head of womenswear design at H&M. “It’s been a lot of fun collaborating with P.E Nation – the teamwork and energy between them and our designers was great! Pip and Claire know first-hand about the need for activewear in all aspects of daily life as female entrepreneurs and co-founders of such a dynamic lifestyle brand. They are fantastic role models and super inspiring themselves. For the collaboration, pieces such as color-blocked leggings, tie-dye t-shirts and the pleated skirt really emphasize the super stylish and striking performance wear distinctive to P.E Nation. We’re all pleased that there are more sustainable materials included in the collection, too.”

the H&M and P.E Nation collection will be available in stores worldwide from 5 March. view the collection below:
