Michael B. Jordan

Michael B. Jordan has always been one of the sexiest stars in Hollywood, but now it’s official.

Tuesday, on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the 33-year-old was announced as PEOPLE Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive 2020. Before revealing his identity, the actor appeared on the late-night talk show dressed in a yellow biohazard suit, a play on the ongoing COVID 19 global pandemic as fans tried to guess upon whom the prestigious title would be bestowed.

The California native tells the magazine, in an issue out Friday, that the honor is a “cool feeling.”

“You know, everybody always made that joke, like, ‘Mike, this is the one thing you’re probably not going to get.’ But it’s a good club to be a part of,” he said.

That club also includes recent winners like Dwayne Johnson, Chris Hemsworth, John Legend,  Idris Elba, Adam Levine, Channing Tatum and David Beckham.

Jordan rose to fame by way of television, staring in acclaimed series including The Wire and Friday Night Lights. In 2012, he made his film debut in the George Lucas-produced Red Tails and played lead character in Chronicle, a film about three teenaged boys who develop superhuman abilities. He reached bona fide movie star status when he starred as police shooting victim Oscar Grant in Fruitvale Station and then starred as the villain Erik Killmonger in Marvel’s Black Panther. He also portrayed boxer Adonis Creed in the Rocky sequels Creed and Creed II.

Most recently, Jordan portrayed attorney Bryan Stevenson in the legal drama, Just Mercy, which he also co-produced. Coming up, he will star in and produce the film Without Remorse, based on the book by Tom Clancy and is set to appear in the second remake of The Thomas Crown Affair. Jordan will also star in Journal for Jordan, to be directed by Denzel Washington, as a soldier who kept a journal full of life lessons for his newborn son while deployed overseas.

But beyond his chiseled physique, million dollar smile and impressive acting chops the single star possesses an effortlessly suave, not to mention sexy,  sense style. Favoring dapper designers such as Dior, Givenchy, and Louis Vuitton, we are never left unimpressed when he hits a red carpet.
