To celebrate her birthday today, Madonna announced a new partnership with Warner Music Group, which promises to result in lots of treats for die-hard fans over the next couple years. Starting in 2022, she’ll mark the 40th anniversary of her debut with the first in a series of personally curated deluxe editions of early albums.

“Since the very beginning, Warner Music Group has helped bring my music and vision to all my fans around the world with the utmost care and consideration,” Madonna said in a statement. “They have been amazing partners, and I am delighted to be embarking on this next chapter with them to celebrate my catalogue from the last 40 years.”

Madonna burst onto the music scene in 1982 with her debut single “Everybody,” released by WMG label Sire Records. She’s been topping the charts and causing trouble ever since. As part of the new deal with WMG, her three most recent albums—MDNA (2012), Rebel Heart (2015) and Madame X (2019)—released by Interscope, will join the Warner Music catalogue in 2025.

And speaking of Madame X, as previously announced, the concert film documenting the 2019 tour supporting the album will premiere October 8 on Paramount+. The tour was notable for being Madonna’s first in decades on which she opted to play intimate theaters rather than stadiums.

“Sharing my vision with global audiences has been profoundly meaningful to me,” she said in July when the doc was announced. “The opportunity to bring its message and the incandescent artistry of all involved to an even wider audience comes at a time when music is so deeply needed to remind us of the sacred bond of our shared humanity.”
