Lizzo is in love! After months of speculation, the “Truth Hurts” singer spoke to Vanity Fair about her recently confirmed relationship with comedian, actor, musician, and artist Myke Wright.

“I’ve known him for over six years,” she told the outlet. “He’s everything. We’re just in love. And that’s it.”

In 2016, Wright performed onstage at MTV’s “Wonderland” live show and the couple emerged from a balloon arch as king and queen of the “Wonderland Class of 2016.”

Their reported “couple debut” wasn’t an official red carpet affair. News broke with an online photo, taken with someone’s iPhone.

Attending an official screening of Amazon Prime Video’s Lizzo’s Watch Out For The Big Grrrls, the star made an appearance with comedian Loni Love, she also walked the carpet with a man most fans are assuming is comedian Myke Wright.

Also in the interview, Lizzo opened up about the two “m’s” — monogamy and marriage. “I am not a polyamorous person, I’m not in love with multiple partners. That is not me,” she shared. “He’s the love of my life. We are life mates.”

However, she’s not in a rush to tie the knot. “If I wanted to start a business with him, I’d get married because that’s when your finances come together. I like weddings. I would like to have a wedding over a marriage.”

She added, “I’m not thinking about sex when I think about monogamy and rules. I’m thinking about the autonomy and independence of him and me. How wonderful would it be to be this complete independent person and to come together to make two complete independent people? Not that whole ‘You complete me, you’re my other half.’ No. I’m whole, and you’re incredible too. We’re like the mirror image of each other. We’re connected. But that doesn’t mean I was incomplete when I met him.”

In April, the singer sat down with Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM Radio Andy show earlier this week where she validated the rumors of her relationship status, after having been spotted with a mystery man since October 2021.

They were photographed together on Valentine’s Day exiting the buzzy restaurant Craig’s in West Hollywood, which Cohen referenced when asking, “Are you guys still together?” Without revealing her boyfriend’s identity, the Cuz I Love You artist replied, “Yeah, whatever, yeah.”

When asked if she finds it difficult to date while living in the public eye, Lizzo replied, “If you have the right person, no. Not at all. It’s not even a factor.” The Grammy winner went onto say, “It should be mutually supportive no matter what that person does.”

Delving deeper, Cohen asked if her new partner was in attendance for her Saturday Night Live stint this weekend. “Damn, you’re really good at this s***. You get the scoop, don’t you?” the singer joked before revealing that he was, in fact, present.
