Leighton Meester and Adam Brody made a rare red carpet appearance for a date night on Monday, and our Gossip Girl and The O.C.-loving selves just can’t handle the cuteness. The couple, who have been married since 2014, attended the red carpet premiere of Brody’s new FX limited series Fleishman Is in Trouble in New York City.

The Gossip Girl star looked poised alongside her husband, wearing a vintage brown V-neck velvet midi dress embellished with dainty floral appliqués scattered throughout from Prada’s Fall/Winter 2000 collection, sourced from Tab Vintage. Meester teamed her look with strappy gold sandals, Bondeye Jewelry earrings and styled her brunette tresses in a voluminous half-up, half-down look with fringed bangs.

Brody kept it simple with a sleek, tailored dark green Paul Smith cashmere wool suit over a splattered white dress shirt from the brand’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection with a skinny tie for the occasion.

The couple (who share daughter Arlo Day, 7, and a son, whom they welcomed in 2020) don’t make many red carpet appearances together, but when they do, they show out.

Brody’s new series, Fleishman Is in Trouble, is based on the 2019 novel of the same name written by Taffy Brodesser-Akner. The new Hulu adaptation stars The O.C. alum alongside Jesse Eisenberg, Claire Danes, Lizzy Caplan, Christian Slater, Josh Radnor and more.

The show follows 41-year-old Toby Fleishman (portrayed by Eisenberg) who has recently gone through a divorce and begins to open himself to the dating apps with more success than he bargained for. When his ex-wife Rachel (played by Danes) disappears without a trace, Fleishman is left with their two young children to tend to, with no sign of where Rachel is or if she’ll ever return. Fleishman juggles single parenting, a job promotion, the return of his old friends Libby (Caplan) and Seth (Brody), and dating life in Manhattan, while examining his past relationship with Rachel.

Fleishman Is in Trouble premieres on Hulu on Nov. 17, with new episodes debuting each Thursday.
