Next in line of celebrity pregnancy announcements? Kirsten Dunst, who broke the exciting news on the cover of W‘s just released annual Directors Issue. Featured alongside Rashida Jones and Elle Fanning in a photo story shot by longtime collaborator Sofia Coppola, the glowing actress shows off her baby bump in a sheer lace gown custom made by the Los Angeles-based label Rodarte—a favorite of Dunst’s since her Spider-Man press tour days.
The Marie Antoinette star, 38, shared her first pregnancy with the world in the pages of Rodarte’s Autumn de Wilde-lensed Fall 2018 lookbook for which she wore a floral embroidered tulle number. In a nod to that high-fashion pregnancy reveal, this high-stakes design was “based on a similar silhouette she wore back then—something her mother reminded her about, knowing it would fit her body’s current shape,” the cover article shares.
This will marks Dunst’s second child with fiancé actor Jesse Plemons, whom she met on Season 2 of FX’s Fargo. After announcing their engagement in 2017 during Paris Fashion Week, the couple welcomed their first son, Ennis Howard Plemons in May of 2018. “It’s like an old cowboy name… We found it online,” Dunst told Jimmy Kimmel in 2019. “You know, on those baby websites where you just keep scrolling. We were like, ‘We like that. It sounds cool.’” As for the new baby’s name? Your guess is as good as ours.
