With the sudden surge in the blonde brow takeover, it looks like Kim Kardashian is taking it back to the time that she shared in the trend. The SKIMS CEO revealed a few never before seen, behind the scenes selfies from the famous (if not infamous) shape-wear brand promotion back on April 29.

The 40-year-old shared with her 236 million Instagram followers a few videos and sneak peaks of what went on before and during the shoot, adorned with the bleached brows and blonde wig that sent everyone into a tailspin of confusion and delight. The stylist behind the hair, Jesus Guerrero, gave Kardashian the wavy mane and makeup artist Ariel Tejada gave her the cut crease and nude lip that we’ve all come to recognize.

The first of the videos shows Kardashian sporting the $62 Outdoor Basic leggings matched with the coordinating $46 t-shirt. Now let’s be honest, an $108 outfit is cheap for a Kardashian, that is way below their average price range, usually sporting designer pieces and flaunting accessories costing more than that alone.

These posts come after it was announced that the SKIMS brand is behind the underwear, loungewear and pajamas for Team USA female athletes at this year’s 2021 Tokyo Olympic games. Inspired partly by her step-parent Caitlyn Jenner, who is making desperate rounds in her run for California Governor, for the Olympic collaboration. Caitlyn Jenner won gold medals for decathlon races in 1975 and 1976 at respective Olympic games.

“As I would watch the athletes compete, I would grow to understand the dedication and honor being a part of the Olympics embodied.” Kardashian wrote on Instagram. “When I received the call inviting Skims to be a part of @TeamUSA, every moment I’ve spent admiring the strength and energy of the Olympians from the sidelines came full circle.”

Who would’ve thought that when the Kardashians first stepped on the pop culture scene, they’d one day design and provide garments to the Olympic games? It feels fitting, as the family has come to represent American style icons, and this feels like Kim’s opportunity to spread the Kardashian brand in a more meaningful and sentimental way.
