If diamonds are a girl’s best friend, Kim Kardashian is very popular.
In an Instagram post, the reality star showed off her brand-new necklace that’s reportedly encrusted with about 100 carats of the jewels. The stunning custom-made sparkler, designed by Jay Feder Jewelers, reportedly is worth as much as $150,000.
With all that ice around her neck, Kardashian, 40, will likely have to rely on an odd secret process she goes through before accessorizing.
“If anything cold touches my body, I shake, so I try to blow dry jewelry before putting it on!” she’s said, explaining that if she gets the chills she has them all day, but when her pieces are warm “they warm me up too.”
While Kardashian’s new necklace is gorgeous, it’s not exactly practical for everyday use — unlike her favorite go-to accessory.
“I think every girl needs to have a hoop. I love hoop earrings. You can dress them up or dress them down. I’m obsessed with them!” she’s said. “I think I’m pretty over the top, so a hoop would be my jewelry staple.”
Kardashian posing while wearing the Jay Feder necklace comes almost five years after she was robbed of over $10 million of jewelry, including a $4.5 million Lorraine Schwartz diamond ring, while attending Fashion Week in Paris.
According to legal documents, alleged heist mastermind, Aomar Ait Khedache later said Kardashian was an “easy target” since during the October 2016 trip she revealed details about her jewelry and personal details on social media, such as when she arrived in the French capital.
The night of the robbery, Kardashian was alone in a short-term luxury apartment rental when Khedache and his accomplices broke in, tied up the star and fled with her jewelry, which the thieves reportedly melted down or sold off.
