Kim Kardashian turning 40 was certainly a guided occasion.
The KKW beauty founder jetted off to Marlon Brando’s The Brando Resort in Tahiti this week with 30 of her closest friends and family to celebrate the milestone. The private island boasts 35 luxury villas which rent for up to $20,000 a night and have private pools. The ultra luxurious vacation, reported to be worth $1 million, took place despite the global lockdowns due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
For the big bash, Kardashian wore a Vivienne Westwood gold leather number featuring a tight corset top and flared mini-skirt. The frock hails from the British designer’s Spring/Summer 1988 “Time Machine” collection, which has been displayed at London’s Victoria & Albert Museum and the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC.
Currently, a similar look from the coveted collection is going for $9,970 on 1stdibs, while a single silver corset from the same show recently sold for $5,983.
Kardashian styled her look with $890 Amina Muaddi “Henson” sculpted heels.
This is the second vintage gold ensemble she rocked while celebrating her 40th. Months ago, at a pre-recorded party for Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the mom-of-four wore a strapless sparkly gold Dolce & Gabbana mini-dress from a 1992 collection paired with leg-wrapping metallic sandals from Rene Caovilla.
