After a brief period in isolation and quarantine after potential COVID-19 exposure, Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, made fashionable splashes at The Wimbledon Ladies’s Finals as the best-dressed spectator. While simple garments, the Duchess shined in ensembles of a muted pink and a lime green color scheme.

The first of the two outfits, a lime green, knee-length and a-line dress by Emilia Wickstead, paired with her husband Prince William’s light blue suit and navy tie. Summery looks that equally acted subtly but in it’s simplicity stood out as a classy pair that we’re used to seeing from the royal family.

Middleton, 39, paired the green dress with a pair of white heels and a wavy mane of brunette hair. But the star of this ensemble? The pleats that adorned the bottom of the dress, blossoming from the ever-so carefully tailored waistline. They gave shape, texture and form to an otherwise arguably plain dress.

In a switch to pink, Middleton made a second outfit appearance in tennis-chic fashion. The baby pink dress, adorned with buttons and belted ever so slightly at the waist, matched the same length as the aforementioned green number. I think the Duchess knows her silhouette, and she wears it well!

Accompanied with the dress was a floral pink face mask, a must in any pandemic-era ensemble, which tied in ever so subtly to her folk art-esque Josef clutch purse and capped off with a pair of nude, strappy heels.

While there was little pageantry and opulence to these looks, it’s a perfect fit for a day out watching a soccer (or football, whichever you prefer) with loved ones and spectators alike. This type of fashion channels a classy, dare say conservative essence, but that’s something we’ve come to expect from the Duchess.
