Following the announcement, the former Bachelorette and The Bachelorette hostKaitlyn Bristowe, made a decision to take a break from social media, recognizing its potential impact on her well-being. In a heartfelt message, she asked for prayers for both their hearts during this challenging time.

Kaitlyn and Jason’s relationship had its roots in an unexpected encounter during a taping of her Off the Vine podcast in 2018. Their connection grew over the years, leading them to move in together in May 2019 and eventually getting engaged in May 2021.

While their wedding plans — including a “Great Gatsby”-inspired celebration — will not come to fruition, the couple’s focus remains on healing and navigating life’s next chapter with grace. The dream of starting a family, once a priority, may take a back seat for now, but they both have immense love and appreciation for each other and the experiences they had. Though they have parted ways romantically, they acknowledge leaving a door open for a continued friendship.
