Over the last couple of months, model Kaia Gerber has kept her blossoming romance with Australian actor Jacob Elordi entirely off social media. Now, the pair have gone ‘Insta official’ with a series of portraits taken of the duo celebrating Halloween, in costume as Elvis and Priscilla Presley.
The high-fashion shots—which feature Gerber in a Charlotte Knowles lilac pussy-bow blouse, and Elordi in a blue suit—were taken by photographer Blair Brown, who later shared an adorable snap of the couple kissing (the picture has since been removed).
Gerber’s fabulously ’70s makeup was the brainchild of Sam Visser, the 20-year-old beauty wunderkind who was also responsible for creating Bella Hadid’s Lichtenstein-inspired look. Speaking to Vogue, Visser revealed that Kaia first revealed her vision for this specific costume weeks beforehand. “Kaia had sent me the idea, as there was a specific photo of Priscilla and Elvis that they wanted to recreate,” he said. “It was more of a 70s Presley look instead of the 60s vibe.”
Elordi and Gerber were first spotted together in September, shortly after 23-year-old Elordi split from his Euphoria co-star Zendaya. The couple already appear to be quite serious, with Elordi joining Gerber’s parents, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, on a vacation to Mexico later that month. 19-year-old Gerber was previously romantically linked to comedian Pete Davidson, who she dated for a few months from October last year to January 2020.
Gerber never publicly addressed the relationship, but Davidson spoke about their short romance in an interview with Charlamagne Tha God in February. “She said it got very overwhelming for her, and she said ‘Pete has a certain MO, and he’s very intense to his girlfriends,’” he said at the time. “We were dating for a few months… she’s very young.”
