Yet another bodycon dress! What more could you ask for than a model like Kaia Gerber making a red carpet appearance and killing it with a simple yet stunning ensemble of a slip? Gerber put a contemporary spin on this look last night as she attended the DKMS 30th anniversary gala in New York City last night. This gala raises money for “crucial funds to provide blood cancer and blood disorder patients in need of a lifesaving stem cell transplant,” according to the organization’s website.

The gala was held at Cipriani Wall Street, and it was host to Gerber’s stunning ensemble, which stole looks left and right as she arrived on to the red carpet. This chic and sleek black Marc Jacobs gown payed homage to a certain era of 90s couture, harkening back to the days of satin slip dresses and boozy model after-parties, and we’re more than here for it.

With a contemporary spin of an tailored waistline and u-shaped neckline, this was a refreshing take on something we all know and love. It was simple but it did the trick, leaving no one unsatisfied with this glamorous appearance for a good cause. The dress hit floor length and added the detail of a belt around the waist to give it some shape, a departure from the typical 90s silhouette.

It’s no surprise that Kaia knows her references, and is on par with the recent trend of bodycon dresses that has been killing it on social media recently Her mother is legendary 90s supermodel Cindy Crawford’s daughter, so we’re sure Gerber has a long list of references and archives to pull from, and it doesn’t hurt to know which angles to catch the camera from.
