Directed by Denzel Washington, with a screenplay by Virgil Williams based on the true story of First Sergeant Charles Monroe King—played by Michael B. Jordan in the film—A Journal for Jordan chronicles the story of a family and a soldier who is deployed to Iraq, leaving his wife, played by Chante Adams, and newborn son at home. A Journal for Jordan premiered last night in New York City, and will debut nationwide at Christmas.
