We’re all feeling a little angry, a little scared, a little uncertain right now. It’s normal. But amid the madness and sadness, sometimes we forget the little things. The important things. Like to be kind to one another and show compassion when we’re struggling or feeling down. Thankfully, J Lo is here to remind us to be empathetic. Or rather, her sweatshirt is.
The singer, actress, dancer, do-it-all posted a mirror selfie wearing a grey marled sweatshirt with the word “EMPATHY” emblazoned across the front in colorful lettering. Obviously keen to spread the message with her 127-million-strong following, she wrote a brief description of what the word means, further emphasizing the point to her audience. “Empathy: The ability to understand and share the feelings of another.”
The uplifting sweatshirt is from The Mayfair Group and part of a set, with J Lo also wearing the matching grey marled trackpants, too. Along with the sweats (something we’ve all grown very fond of this year), she wore a pair of Nike sneakers, dark green sunglasses and her signature hoop earrings. Unlike her “makeup-free morning face” the day prior, she had a kohl-smudged eye and glossy lip with her hair curled and pushed up into a messy high pony (the perfect hairstyle for a sweats kind of day).

For the mum of two, who just turned 51 (no, really), encouraging empathy, particularly at a time like this, is the kind of celebrity selfie we’re here for. Plus, it’s a very cute sweatshirt.
