Matching couple outfits are in this season, with Ben Affleck and JLo being no exception. The couple was seen out and about at the Westfield Century City Mall in Los Angeles, taking their time to shop and hold hands. In this case, we’re not sure if JLo’s style rubbed off on Ben or vice versa, but either way, it’s a picture-worthy moment for the couple.
JLo looked chic in a tight-fitting black turtleneck and long black and white plaid skirt featuring gold buttons and zippers. She carried a black leather (pleather?) handbag in one hand as she held Affleck’s hand in the other. Her wrist and hands were decorated with a range of gold and silver jewelry, with black heels and a pair of black and white sunglasses to leave no style-stone unturned.
Affleck followed suit with a simple black button-up shirt and gray stonewashed jeans. His look was a little more casual than JLo’s, but he classed it up with a silver watch around the wrist that held her hand. Like JLo, he also sported a pair of sunglasses, but his were more aviator in fashion.
While an unarguably popular couple on all of our newsfeeds, they haven’t been the most bold with their fashion approach. They tend to keep their looks very casual and understated, opting rather to keep attention away from their outfits and more focused on the progression of their relationship. But when they do turn out, it’s a worthy moment.
In fact, the power they have by being able to garner such massive amounts of attention without being flashy or over the top makes them that much more appealing. They put themselves out into the world without having to prove anything to the public, authentic and grounded. Well, aside from the $130 million yacht they were last spotted on.
