Beloved actress Jennifer Aniston has always been known for her famously fabulous tresses. Amid the star’s stratospheric rise to fame, she even had a haircut officially named after her character in the sitcom Friends. While the face-framing, choppy layered “Rachel” cut became incredibly popular in the ‘90s, Aniston’s tresses have been serving inspiration ever since; from her long Rapunzel-like golden locks, to her curtain bangs and beach-worthy waves.

Now, the man responsible for Aniston’s enviable locks, longtime hairstylist Chris McMillan, is giving fans the inside scoop on how to achieve the actress’ sleek blowout look.

The hair pro posted a black and white photo of Aniston dressed in a white bra top and high-waisted pants while getting her hair done.

“Love a good blowout. Full but straight,” McMillan wrote on Instagram, before diving into a step by step tutorial.

“To achieve this look, I take 1 1/2 sections, starting at the nape and blowout from towel-dried, freshly-shampooed hair,” he explained. He said that he usually refrains from using any products yet to ensure that the blow-dry will hold, but notes to wet the hair if needed with a water bottle.

McMillan gave the Ibiza Hair Tool’s large round brush his seal of approval, noting that the haircare tool “always delivers.” Reminding us to “keep it simple,” McMillan advised to “really lift and dry the roots,” for a natural and glamorous blowout.

The actress revealed in a new interview with The Cut, when it comes to her hair, “I just stick with what works; if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it.”

Having styled Aniston’s hair since her Rachel days in the early ’90s, who better to give sage hairstyle advice, then straight from the source?

We’ll be trying to recreate the look this weekend.
