Jacquemus x Nike

French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus has long expressed his affinity for athleisure in his minimalist-inspired designs. (For his latest Spring-Summer 2022 collection, yoga pants took center stage on the runway.) Now, Jacquemus is taking the next step by partnering with sportswear giant, Nike, on a new collaboration.

After recently releasing collaborations with Comme des Garçons and Louis Vuitton, Nike is teaming with the designer on a 15-piece collection that combines Jacquemus’ Marseille influences with Nike’s activewear technology.

There’s an oh-so tenniscore white dress with Nike swoosh across the back, a hiking-inspired bucket hat, and a pair of signature Humara sneakers (a favorite of the designer’s) that received the Jacquemus treatment, and more styles that will be released during the brand’s fashion show in June.

“For this collaboration with Nike, I wanted to create a collection that reinterprets athletic women’s sportswear in a minimal way,” Jacquemus said in a release. “I have always been inspired by vintage ACG (All Conditions Gear) pieces and Nike campaigns from the ’90s. Having this imagery in mind, we designed women’s athletic wear with sensuous details and neutral colors.”

The Jacquemus x Nike collaboration joins the pack of other high-fashion labels partnering with sportswear brands including Gucci’s latest mash-up with adidas (out June 7).

According to Jacquemus’ Instagram account, the collection will be available to shop on June 28 exclusively on jacquemus.com and Nike retail spaces.
