international women's day

Today marks the 102nd International Women’s Day. The global holiday dates back to the early 1900s when 15,000 women marched through New York City demanding shorter hours, better pay, and voting rights. We’ve come a long way since then—and yet, there is of course still much work to be done.

This year, GRAZIA’s editors are wearing their hearts on their sleeves thanks to Net-a-Porter, who partnered with 12 female designers, such as Stella McCartney and Simone Rocha, on a collection of limited-edition t-shirts and more—profits of which will go directly to Women for Women International, an organization that provides support to female survivors of war.

ALIGHIERI INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY ARTEMIS GOLD-PLATED NECKLACE, $280 SHOP NOW

“I love all things gold—especially when they’re crafted by London-based designer Rosh Mahtani, whose gilded, rough-edged touch earned her the 2020 Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design. Naturally, this Greek goddess-inspired necklace—the profits of which will go to female empowerment—is no exception.” – Zoe Ruffner, Fashion & Beauty Features Director

TOVE NET SUSTAIN INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY EMBROIDERED ORGANIC COTTON-JERSEY T-SHIRT, $215 SHOP NOW

“Coming up of a year of being inside, it’s hard to get excited about buying new clothes, especially when wardrobe staples have been sweat sets and loungewear. But this t-shirt is the perfect thing to pull the trigger on because a t-shirt is the ideal quarantine transitional wardrobe piece. Wear it inside with your sweats and then use it as a base to create a look when we’re allowed to be outside again. Plus, your money is being put to good use at the Women for Women International organization—and, if you need more convincing, black girl magic is something that never goes out of style. – Gabrielle Prescod, Style Director

AMINA MUADDI INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY PRINTED COTTON-JERSEY TOP, $215 SHOP NOW

“While I am typically not a graphic T-shirt kind-of girl, there is something special about wearing one celebrating women—especially one designed by a woman of color. I’ve always got the next woman’s back and I’m happy to, in this case, say it with my chest.” – Channing Hargrove, Culture Editor

ANISSA KERMICHE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY TITTY COMMITTEE SET OF TWO MINI EARTHENWEAR JUGS, $165 SHOP NOW

That’s precisely why Anissa Kermiche’s special-designed mini earthenware linked jugs will be in my Net-a-Porter shopping cart as soon as it officially launches on the retailer’s site. This is just one way I intend to elevate my Manhattan studio’s aesthetic to maintain my stay-at-home streak in style.” – Marisa Petrarca, Senior Beauty & Style Editor
