If anyone knows how to properly celebrate Halloween, it’s supermodel Heidi Klum. She has hosted her very own costume bash for the last 22 years — and she always goes big with her get-up. She undergoes extensive transformations for the grand event and last night was no exception. The television personality morphed herself into a full-blown worm (yes, a worm!), then switched gears into a sexy, sheer ensemble.
On Monday evening, Klum hosted her party (back after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19) at Sake No Hana in New York City to host the annual fête dressed as a giant, wiggling worm. Always committed to the act, Klum threw herself on the ground to squirm across the red carpet. Her husband, Tokyo Hotel rocker Tom Kaulitz, dressed as a fisherman with his eye gauged out.
Later in the evening, Klum slipped out of her worm costume and into a sexy, shimmering, sheer ensemble. The barely-there bodysuit featured strategically-placed rhinestones. Naturally, Klum had to keep the Halloween spirit alive, and kept her ribbed worm makeup intact.
Guests included Brooks Nader, Bill Kaulitz, Heather Graham, Julia Fox, Jonathan Van Ness, Kim Petras, Leomie Anderson, Pritika Swarup, Taylor Hill, Valentina Sampaio and more, who enjoyed izakaya dishes from the restaurant, located beneath the Moxy Lower East Side.
Questlove serenaded attendees with a DJ set, while Baileys cocktails and S’mores martinis were served.
Moschino creative director Jeremy Scott even dressed up as Klum’s Making the Cut hosting partner Tim Gunn.
This year, Klum partnered with the Trick-Or-Treat program at Unicef to help raise awareness for their annual Halloween campaign, which raises money for children in need.
Of course, the model shared a behind-the-scenes look of her and her husband’s spooky transformations on Instagram, courtesy of Prosthetic Renaissance Inc.’s Mike Marino.
In previous years, Klum has dressed up as an elderly woman, Jessica Rabbit, a werewolf, an alien, Fiona from Shrek, and a skinless cadavar, all requiring significant prosthetic work.
