After what felt like 12 months of the world being stuck in a horrible sci-fi thriller, 2020 has finally come to a close. Though we’re still very much in the midst of a global pandemic – outside of the havens that are New Zealand and Australia, anyway – who can blame us for hoping that 2021 will be a little easier on us all?

Thankfully, we’re already off to a good start. While 2020 started with deeply saddening images of Australia’s worst bushfire crisis in history being shared all over social media, 2021 is, instead, kicking off with Harry Styles casually releasing a new music video starring none other than everyone’s favorite British woman, Fleabag creator and star, Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

Instead of taking a trip around Italy’s Amalfi Coast, as he did for ‘Golden,’ or frolicking around Malibu, as he did for ‘Watermelon Sugar,’ Styles opted for a black and white cocktail bar for ‘Treat People with Kindness’ – another song off his widely celebrated album, Fine Line. Releasing the three-minute long video on New Year’s Day, the clip shows Styles performing on stage before Waller-Bridge, dressed in the exact same outfit, takes to the stage alongside him, before they both break out into a choreographed dance routine.

One of the video’s directors, Gabe Turner, wrote on Twitter, that the team was lucky enough to shoot prior to the pandemic, adding that working with the two famous Brits was a career highlight. “Shot this at the beginning of last year! Didn’t realize how lucky we were to experience this at the time,” he tweeted. “Harry & Phoebe – an absolute career highlight! Fitting that it goes out today hoping that in 2021 we can return to some kind of normal. #TPWK.”

Of course, fans of Styles quickly went into meltdown mode, with one writing on Twitter that the 26-year-old had already “saved 2021 just a few hours.” Agreed.
