Kicking off the 2021 film awards season, the 31st Annual Gotham Awards (formerly known as the Indie Film Awards) are set to take New York City by storm tonight as actors from across TV and film will take the red carpet to display their best dress. The event, it’s entirety, can be watched from The Gotham Film and Media Institute’s Facebook page starting at 8PM EST.

Kristen Stewart will be receiving this year’s Performer Tribute for her role in Spencer, as the film meets the criteria of an indie film, with a budget of under $35 million. The Institute has removed gendered acting nominations, with gender-neutral prizes taking their place.

But before the event begins, there’ll be a show within a show: the red carpet. This is where we’ll be focusing tonight as looks come in, and we can’t wait to see what everyone is wearing to the kickoff of film awards season.
