Gigi Hadid solidified her role among legends on Sunday night as she joined the likes of Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss for Versace’s special event, which was held to honor Milan Fashion Week, in all of it’s Italian extravagance. Hadid walked down the runway in a two piece silver ensemble that captivated the audience, making herself known, giving respect and paying homage to the canonical pantheon of supermodels before her.

The biannual show was a collaboration of Donatella Versace and Fendi, and the looks featured combined a tasteful mix of the two fashion house’s aesthetics, both bearing their unique artistic voices while remaining cohesive.

Hadid’s fashion itself sparkled in silver glory, with a silver top that resembled a texture of snakeskin combined with a disco ball. The skirt as low-rise, with a chain-like accessory that rose above Hadid’s midriff and hip bones. The skirt additionally featured Fendi’s iconic “F” logo in a light blue, ever so subtly contrasting with the silver fabric underneath. The top of the garment hit about mid-waist, and had the same textured pattern as the skirt.

The look was styled with strappy, light-blue heels, with the color matching Fendi’s logo on the skirt, alongside silver and gold bangle bracelets. As for the hair and makeup, the makeup was dark and sultry around the eyes with contour that dramatically emphasized Hadid’s facial structure. Her hair was long and brunette, witth two barrettes pinning back each side.

The best way we can describe this look is “Summer of love meets futuristic princess in Italy” and we’re so here for it. Hadid’s presencee, among the likes of Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, tell us a story of supermodel’s legacy, past and present. It shows that the talent of these models is eternal and ever-changing, but that doesn’t mean their legacy ever has to fade. Trailblazers, like Campbell, deserve to have their spot, and share it with the newcomers too.
